As children place and stack the gear pieces, they are developing their hand-eye coordination and fine motor muscles.  They are also exploring a variety of inquiry, mathematic and literacy skills as they engage spatial awareness, pattern design, size differentiations, principles of motion and rotation and cause and effect.

This simple experience encourages children to develop skills and abilities that will support their growing independence and curiosity.
