Children's stereognostic sense, sense of touch, is developed through explorations of the shapes in the bag. 
The geometric blocks can be used initially to explore the similarities and differences of each shape as children investigate using both the look and feel of each shape. Eventually, children will be able to use just a single sense to identify and pair each shape. 

This learning not only encourages children using a variety of senses to understand the world around them, but also practices their memory skills.
