  • The Crow Women Dreaming artwork is an authentic Indigenous design by Maureen Hudson Nampijinpa. Born on an Aboriginal owned cattle station, Yuelamu, in the Northern Territory and working as a teacher’s assistant, she began painting in 1981.
  • There are many stories in the desert regions of Warlukurlangu depicting the origins of creatures, this one is of a group of female birds who were caught in the great fires of Warlukurlangu country, and scorched by the flames, turning the ensuing species black.
  • Warlukulongu is Maureens father's and grandfather's country. Her ancestral Dreaming's include birds, fire, and women's ceremonies, which have been passed down from her mother's involvement in traditional ceremony.

Maureen has been an Artist in Residence at the Mulgara Gallery in Yulara (Uluru- Ayers Rock).
